  1. The angle at which the pictures were taken, the texture, the color ways, the messages they are trying to convay through the picture (weather through actuall text or through sybalic meaning) and the distance in which the pictures were taken from the object itself are all aspects that help to make these photos so powerfully moving. We can learn from these models that our style of photography that is encorporated into our news storys does not need to be so mediocre and unlively, we can apply some level of artistic value to them and have them convey the same, if not a more powerfull message.

  3. What makes these photographs so powerful is that they capture real life photo's of beautiful nature and ordinary peopls, and make it so dazzeliing to look at. These photo's are very breath takings and are one of a kind. Especially with the type of angles they capture the photo's in and all the extra details they add in to them. What they might all have in common is that they all have such a realistic way of capturing photos. All the photographs were of real life peopl and nauture, and not just made up thing yu'd find in like books and comics. I can apply some of thesemodels in class by being more outgoing and detailed about my work. Making it different than eveyone elses. that is a signifiant way of individuality.

  4. Forgot to say this but they are all so similar in the way that they are all so heavilly edited, lighting and bacground have clearly been altered and affected, we see this in the broght vibrant colored pictures and also the dark pictures, another similarity between them all is that alot of them seem to send a message weather its a message thats abstract and takes some thinking or a message that is expressed through written text within the photo.

  5. These photos are very powerful not because they are pictures of something like a beautiful landscape, but because they are abstract in design. For instance, there is a photo of a lady covered in oranges drinking from a straw. This is the type of concept that relates to what readers want in a news story: something interesting or funny. There are also pictures that radiate an inspirational message, such as the one with a girl holding a sign that says, "Strike the Match". The photos are powerful because they have a deeper meaning than what they appear to be when simply looking at them.

  6. The way the picture is taken, the angle, the color shading, and just the way they chose some things perfectly in position to picture. The photos were all real photos not some kind of image creator it was real photos with maybe some editing. The models in the pictures (students) were all good in appearance so all they had to do was position them and angle the camera to get that just good look that looks so good through view like its texture, angle, and coloring. These photos show the ways you can use little editing to make such a beautiful photo with normal people and nature. We could use these as visuals for a photography class because they show little editing and beauty ffrom form .

  7. I agree with Aaron, the photos were very powerful because they were so abstract. I thought that the picture with the dogs running from a wave was very powerful because it almost swayed my mood. It enlightened me and I could feel the enjoyment which makes the pictures very powerful. A lot of these pictures have a lot in common. I noticed that the photos gave off more of a summer tone (beach, fruit, etc.) and were very vibrant in color. The pictures can be related to our class because I could relate him to news stories. They included many of the qualities needed in a news story such as funny or odd. This made these photos very powerful.

  8. The thing that makes these photographs so powerful is the intensity that they bring. The picture of the hands, the second one in, along with a lot of other ones, leave it up to you to deside what they mean. Some photos might be meaning less to one person, but have a strong meaning to another, which makes the photographs powerful. These pictures don't have many things in common. I feel that what they mean is up to whoever views them. I see that they have a lot todo with nature. They are taken outside. There's sky, ocean, beaches, and rocks. All of these found in nature. We can take some of these models and apply them to our work in our class by writing about these things. Like nature, or people. We can add some of these pictures to add emphasis on certian topics. For example, the picture that looks like the rainforest. We can write about global warming and what it's doing to our planet.

  9. What makes these photographs so powerful is the same reason why they are alike, the way they are shot with a singular focal point and an attention to detail. Each one has extreme details and colors. Therefore when you look at the picture, your eyes are immediately drawn to it. For example, the picture of the sunset, while seemingly broad in concept, contrasts the colors of the setting sun with the shadows on the horizon such that you notice the details in the picture. This can be related to what we do in journalism because when you report a story you want to include all details so the reader is interested. But at the same time, not forget that the backround to the story, just like the backround in the pictures, sets the stage for the focus of the story.

  10. The variety, angle, contrast of color, and detail makes all these photos appear to be so powerful. Although they all may look different, these traits are what make them come together to look alike. They all are token with such inspiration. These photos could be applied to the work in class because when writing we have to be so specific and include every little detail to make the story come out perfect.

  11. All of the photos, are very powerful, because they are simple. Simplicity is better, because we can understand the true meaning of each photo. None of the photos, are of New York City, which is the opposite of simple. They are taken with care, and are angled to perfection. I assume, that each photo took the minimum of half an hour, to complete which is understandable. They all have in common, the simplicity, along with the nature-fact. To me, the pictures are about nature, and how beautiful it really is. Even though each photo is only focused on one idea, there is a lot of detail that it's almost shocking that all of it can fit into one photo, which can make it powerful. For example, there is a photo of sky with colors that are breath-taking. The colors are different shades of pinks, and blues. I can take some of these models, and apply them to the work that we do in our class, by ensuring there is a lot of detail in our writing, and to not over-power our work. By limiting the topics that we write about, it will provide for more detail. Detail is the key to writing, like the pictures in the link.

  12. One thing that makes these pictures so powerful is the intenseness /brightness of colors and detail put into these pictures. Also, I agree with Corey that these pictures represent a setting of summer. For example, most of the pictures of filled with vivid colors which symbolize happiness. In that case, a similar detail about all of these pictures is that they are filled with color. In my opinion, almost all of these pictures could be considered art because they covey a meaningful message with a story behind it. For example, the many pictures of landscapes or flowers represent the beauty of nature. The detail put into the picture illustrates the attractiveness of the environment. Adding on, in class, we want to find and read stories that will interest the reader. Most of those pictures catch my attention due to the fact that they are vivid and detailed, which is one way to interest a person. Agreeing with Kassidy, along with David, I believe that these pictures are detailed (just like the stories we read/write in class), and the pictures do not leave out any of the background(in relation to how as writers, we should not exclude any information).

  13. Something that makes these pictures so powerful is how vibrant and personal they are. All of the pictures caught my attention and the vivid colors are so captivating and beautiful. They all seem to have a bright and happy personality and compliment each other perfectly. Each setting is light and fun with a summer vibe that enhances the bubbly personality of the photo. By examining them I can see that each photo includes exquisite detail that is glorified and truly stands out. When writing in journalism it's also a good strategy to include all the details because it's the little things that can really spruce up a story.

  14. What the photographer did was use color and detail through out the collection of pictures to make every thing stand out. The photographer had a main focal point to catch a persons attention but then you begin to nitice more details about the pictures. Such as the picture of the girl standing in the window, your attdntion is drawn to her somewhat earie silhouette. Then you notice the colors streaming in and the outline of the window and you get the full effect. Much like journalists draw you in with a hook or an good title and then you read the whole story and get all the details.Which we can realate to our work in class because this is how we should be writing. Also, I agree with David and Amanda, in the sense that the pictures are detained and so are our stories and its has lots of background and leaves out no information just like our writing should be.

  15. I think what really makes these pictures powerful is the strong presence of life in each picture. Whether it's flowers, dogs, or humans, almost every picture has some form of life in it, giving each picture its own individual presence in the page, making each photo feel different from all the ones before and after it. Something they all have in common is the bright colors, or lack of them. There are several black and white photos, but also several that are just the opposite and edited to the point where there are so many colors the picture looks unnatural. Very few of the pictures here aren't edited at all. Finally, I think these pictures can relate to our work in class because as I mentioned before, each photo has its own distinct feel, and thats how articles written by different writers should be.

  16. The thing that makes the photos so powerful is their uniqueness. Even with as much effort you could not make a double of the same photographs yourself. There are emotions behind each photograph and the use of colors help to express the emotion the photographer wants you to feel. I like these photographs because you can look at them many times and see something different or unusual each time you see them. Each person will perceive the photos differently from another.
What they have in common is that they are all focusing on a certain object at a certain angle to. Make you see something that you would not usually notice, or that you would pass-over.
We can apply these models to our class by trying to look at things in a new perspective and looking at situations in new angles when writing about them. We can also try to configure our writing to use words that would make people feel the emotions we are tryin to convey. We should not make our writing boring but interesting and curious to read more into.
